The Pine Center Dental Group team treat various dental emergencies, including:
Avulsed (knocked-out) teeth
Every year around five million teeth are knocked out of the mouths of American children and adults. Fortunately, with prompt action on your part and expert dental treatment, you can save your tooth.
If one of your teeth is knocked out, carefully pick it up, taking care to only touch the crown of the tooth. Carefully brush away any debris.
Don’t rinse the tooth or put it in tap water as the chemicals can damage your tooth. If possible, tuck the tooth back into its socket or between your cheek and gums. You can also use a small sealed container of milk or a tooth saver kit to keep it moist.
Broken teeth
Sports and automobile accidents are everyday situations that lead to broken teeth. Depending on the severity of your damaged tooth, you might need immediate treatment or be able to wait a day or so for tooth repair. Call Pine Center Dental Group for personalized advice.
Abscess
A dental abscess can cause severe pain and lead to a dangerous infection when left untreated. If you have a toothache, swollen gums, or other signs of an abscess, call the practice immediately.
Lacerations
If you bite or cut your cheek, tongue, or gums, and can’t stop the bleeding, come into Pine Center Dental Group for emergency treatment.
